2016 Abel Prize to Andrew J. Wiles
Prof. Andrew J. Wiles, who gave a proof to the challenging Fermat's last theorem, was selected to receive the Abel's Prize for 2016. Abel Prize is one of the prizes in Mathematics considered to be equivalent to Nobel prize.
2015 Turing Award to Whitfield Diffie and Martin E.Hellman
Whitfield Diffie, former Vice President and Chief Security Officer of Sun Microsystems and Martin E. Hellman, Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University are recipients of the 2015 A. M. Turing Award for "Critical contributions to Modern Cryptography."
